LPN – Full Time and PRN
Duties include:
Place patients in exam rooms and record vital signs, weight, current complaints, and pertinent history.
Assist patients to ambulate, assist patients onto and off of exam tables, and in and out of wheel chairs.
Assist multiple providers on occasion with established patient care protocols.
Assist providers in distributing appropriate patient education materials, and communicate that information to the patient in a tactful and professional manner.
Prepare exam rooms and required instruments/ equipment for procedures and treatments, and then restock rooms after vacating patients as necessary.
Prepare patient record information for physician referrals and communicate significant information to other health care providers as required.
Ensure that all care slips are correctly marked and accounted for at the end of the day, and turned in to the receptionist daily.
Maintain tracking log for all lab, x-ray and referrals.
Maintain current CPR certification.
Prepare patient EMR information for physician referrals and communicate significant information to other health care providers as required.
Triage patient calls in a pleasant and timely manner and make follow up calls as required by provider staff.
Administer injections.
Patient Access Assistant – Full Time
Duties include:
- Receive all patients and visitors pleasantly and effectively.
- Collect co-pays and payments at the time of service and issue receipts as necessary.
- Maintain payment log, reconcile daily cash and copy all received checks daily.
- Assist patients with billing questions, assist with sliding fee questions, and establish payment arrangements with patients if deemed necessary.
- Review all medical charts prior to visit for current consent for treatment, insurance card copies and assignment forms.
- Ensure all patient information is current and up to date at each visit. This is to include all insurance, Medicare or Medicaid cards being scanned, patient information sheet has been updated annually and scanned, and all information in the chart matches the information in the computer per policy and procedure.
- Inform and assist patients with the Sliding Fee Program. Calculate and approve SFS applications. Ninety (90) percent of these applications must be completed within one hour of receipt.
- Accurately enter Sliding Fee information in computer.
- Scan documents and assist in locating and filing reports.
